The legend creation for Bentley Map has not been released yet. There is no public announcement of the release date as of yet.

It is unclear what your current inquiry is. Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 1) was released in October, 2009. See the following announcement for that:

Is there a way or work around procedure on how to generate Legend from a thematic result rather than manual?

...the Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 1) release is currently scheduled to be available by the end of September, approximately ~1 month after the MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 1) commercial release has been posted. New functionalities such as Joins, Spatial Overlay Reporting, Grid Based Data Editing, Labeling and others will be included. Unfortunately the planned Legend Generation capabilities have been deferred and will not be included in the Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 1) release.

Automatic thematic legend generation as well as join capabilities are not yet available in Bentley Map but are planned for inclusion in the upcoming Q1 2009 SELECT Update release.
