What file formats are supported by the raster manager? To what format can I convert tiff files in order to clip the images?
Hi Mariette,

the list of supported formats is available in Bentley Map documentation, search for "Supported Image Input File Formats" chapter.

Why do you want to convert tiff files? TIFF format supported in the same way as many others.

Jan, thank you. I found the file formats yesterday.
I need to clip raster images in tiff file format. We are currently on Map 08.11.09.666 and Microstation 08.11.09.752.
Please see link below.

I am not able to clip the images and I have not been able to find a work around. I am not sure what add-on to look for or if there is a better alternative.
I would appreciate any assistance.
Regards,
I am confused a bit: You mentioned you use Bentley Map and MicroStation, but the linked discussion comes from Imaging community, where products like Descartes are discussed.

I am pretty sure you can clip TIFF file in MicroStation using Raster Manager tool. What problem do you have with the clipping? Can you provide a file or maybe screen capture to illustrate your problem?
... or do you want to not clip the raster, but clip and save the raster including clipping?
They mention add-on programs or Descartes as alternatives to clip the tiff file.
Please see the print screen.DOCX
I unticked the read - only.

It still not explain what problem with clipping you have :-(

I am quite sure Raster Manager in MicroStation and Bentley Map allows to clip any supported raster format. The clipping is done in memory, so it's displayed, but not saved back to file (in general, all raster operations are read-only and MicroStation does not allow to edit files).
If you want to edit raster in any way (e.g. to transform and clip and to save the changes to file), you have to use Bentley Descartes (included also in Bentley Map Enterprise).
I need to clip 6 images so that there is no overlap. We do not have Bentley Descartes.
The only program I have available is Bentley Map (Select series 4).
Would I be able to clip the images in a trial version of Bentley Descartes?

I guess it should not be a problem, trial versions are not limited in terms of their functionality.
Is your raster image reprojected? Please look at the attached link. It shows clipping a WMS image, but the steps will work for any image that is reprojected.
