What file formats are supported by the raster manager? To what format can I convert tiff files in order to clip the images?

It still not explain what problem with clipping you have :-(

I am quite sure Raster Manager in MicroStation and Bentley Map allows to clip any supported raster format. The clipping is done in memory, so it's displayed, but not saved back to file (in general, all raster operations are read-only and MicroStation does not allow to edit files).
If you want to edit raster in any way (e.g. to transform and clip and to save the changes to file), you have to use Bentley Descartes (included also in Bentley Map Enterprise).

I need to clip 6 images so that there is no overlap. We do not have Bentley Descartes.
The only program I have available is Bentley Map (Select series 4).
Would I be able to clip the images in a trial version of Bentley Descartes?

I guess it should not be a problem, trial versions are not limited in terms of their functionality.
Regards,
Is your raster image reprojected? Please look at the attached link. It shows clipping a WMS image, but the steps will work for any image that is reprojected.
