Hello.
I'm having some problems publishing an .imodel for Bentley Map Mobile.
I'm using MicroStation V8i (Ss4) version 08.11.09.838, Bentley Map V8i (Ss4) version 08.11.09.763 (for MicroStation) and I just installed Bentley Map Mobile Publisher version 05.05.02.218.
I was publishing an imodel for Map Mobile and it stopped with the following error dialog:
"Error protecting file:
[C:\Users\.....\Temp\[filename].i.dgn]"
And here is a clip from Message Center:
Does anyone know what the problem is?
Regards,
Bjorn
Never used Converter since I have always managed to do everything I needed via Publisher, but will have to try it.
Setup is as follows: Publisher latest version 05.05.04.13. Installed on a machine with Win10-64.
There are MapEnterprise 08.11.09.836, Map for MS (Map same version, MS 08.11.09.867) and OpenUtilities Map 08.11.09.880 - so three various platforms on the same computer.
Publisher is correctly integrated on all three platforms. Inside Map for MS and MapEnterprise puublisher works perfectly. Inside OU Map delivers listed error. It was tested on three different computers (same setup, same results), various files and data (same results) so it does not seem to be data related nor specific installation related since the behaviour is always the same.
Hi Dan,
I'm also interested in this topic since I'm facing the same problem. I've tried to publish simple dgn from Bentley OpenUtilities Map into iModel via command line Converter with same result.
Thanks in advance for any information.
Mladen
What is the specific error message, "error protecting file"? I've asked our OpenUtilities Map colleagues to test this for us as-well.
Dear Dan,
in Map Mobile Publisher installed correctly on OpenUtilities Map 8.11.09.880 the error is:
In command line Converter we have similar situation (without error message but imodel was not created)

I think the problem may be in the Shell that you are using for the Converter - don't use the MS DOS Cmd window, open the Map Mobile Converter shell using the Map Mobile Converter key-in in the Windows "Type here to search" field:
Then select the application from the list
Then issue the MapMobileConvert.exe command from the Bentley Map Mobile Converter window
Let us know if that works.
