The tool shown by Keith Raymond was removed in Bentley Map SS3. When I inquired about it I was told by someone at Bentley that it would be replaced by a new tool in MicroStation.

This doesn't answer question how to measure Geodesic distance with projection distortions. According to this post this tool allows to measure distances also - communities.bentley.com/.../130261.aspx

Is this tool available in Bentley Map v8i? Can't find it anymore.

okay, I did not realize that the function is in Bentley Map. Now I have looked a bit on it and I can not really get it to work. Is there a guide or examples of how the feature works? Regards Carsten
