What is the easiest way to copy all attributes from one object to group of another? I need to do this because I transfer project from 3D win programm to this one and now same object have different attributes.
If I understand you correctly, you'd like to copy the symbology settings from one feature to another? The Geospatial Administrator does not provide tools to copy or import content from one feature to another. One solution is to open the XML in a product such as NotePad++ and copy/paste the sections needed. In the attached image, I've hightlighted the content in the Symbology node. Please be sure that you have a current backup copy of your schema before editing it with any external editor.
thank you for quick response. As English is not my native language and I use program in Finnish could be that I explained in a wrong way. I made screenshot where as an example 2 poly lines. I need to copy all attributes from one to another.
Hi Vyacheslav,
I am confused by your screen capture ;-)
Continuing in our discussion we had in MicroStation Forum: It's crucial to know how your project and you data is organized! From you picture it seems you work in XFM project, because there is a feature-tree heirarchy displayed. In such case, elements are treated as "features" and their symbology is controled by the project definition.
If you are working with normal MicroStation elements (not Bentley Map features), you should use Change Attributes tool mentioned already in the former discussion by Jon Summers. But if you work with Bentley Map features, you should never! change the symbology manually, but you can either promote a plain MicroStation element to be Bentley Map feature or to drop XFM feature and to promote it to another.
But as I wrote, to know how your project is configured is mandatory thing to know, otherwise an advice can ruin your data quality easily.
With regards,
Jan

Hi Jan. That file was transferred from 3 D win program in DWG. Because of that all attributes are missed. Then I copy it to the main project, that was made by other person. And I suppose to change all date in that it will feet to the project data as well.

is possible to use but if I need to change 20 or 50 objects. How I understood from answers the only way is to transfer objects to the same layer "level" that objects are in original project. In case if this this level made in a correct way all new lines attributes will get same attributes from this level settings. Am I right)?
