Hi all,
testing newly released Bentley Map CONNECT Edition Update 2. The attached file "kills" Map Manager (the dialog has to be opened) and exception is reported.
The file is nothing special, just lines and cell, no XFM project or database involved. I assume something with cells in Pole level is wrong.
With regards,
Jan

HI Jan, I have confirmed that this error is occurring and have filed Defect Report 974283. Thank you for reporting this issue. If I learn anything about it, I'll be sure to update you.
Hi Inga,
thanks for the confirmation. Because it seems to be more file dependent than common issue (other files with different content work fine), to know it's logged and will be repaired is enough for me :-)

Hello Jan. Attribute set to ByLevel could be one of the culprits here. So, removing those ByLevel attribute could avoid the Exception. More investigation will be done later by Dev team since it has been logged internally. Thank you again to report it.

Thanks for your comment, I plan to play with Update 2 later this week again, so I will try how ByLevel behaves.
But, isn't ByLevel something "used by default" in MicroStation designs and BM projects?
Jan,
Elements Attributes values are defined by the seed file used to create a new file. You are right, in the most of seed files provided by Bentley, the ByLevel value is often defined for the Element attributes. In my finds, it seems only the Point-cell "tree" causing the issue when a ByLevel value is defined. I did not go farther since it has been reported to Bentley Map Dev Team. More to come.
Best Regards,
