Hello,
We have an existing Sewer System which we would like to Analyse. For that reason one of our drawers will create a model in AutoCAD.
Is there a way to directly use a pipe Network drawn in AutoCAD within Sewer CAD? How can I put it into a Format that I could then Import into Sewer CAD? Or do I need to use Sewer CAD for AutoCAD in order to avoid implementing the Network twice?
I tried to open Sewer CAD for AutoCAD on a Computer where I have both AutoCAD Civil 3D and SewerCAD installed. We have a Licence for Sewer CAD Connect Edition. However when I try to open SewerCAD for AutoCAD, I get an error Message saying
"There is no valis SewerCAD for AutoCAD License. SewerCAD is unloading."
Many thanks for your help!
Hello Loretan,
This is happening because the license that you have activated doesn't include AutoCAD integration. This link has further details on this.
If you do not own a SewerCAD license that includes AutoCAD integration, you will not be able to use SewerCAD in that platform, though SewerCAD will still work as a Standalone application.
If you do own a license that includes AutoCAD integration, you will need to activate the license. The steps will depend on the version of SewerCAD you are using. If you have the latest version, you can use the steps in the CONNECT Licensing link to select the license feature. If you have SewerCAD CONNECT Edition Update 1 or earlier (include V8i) you can use would check the Municipal License Administrator to set the default license, as explained here.
If you do not own a license that includes AutoCAD integration, but wish to use it in that platform, you will need to reach out to your sales rep for information on upgrading your license.
Regards,
Scott
Also note that, without a license of SewerCAD for AutoCAD, you can still work with data from AutoCAD:
