  • I can confirm that the Bing Map Background Map option is available in Map PowerView CONNECT Update 4

  • Is it also slow as it is in OpenCities Map U4?

  • Oto,  As you know speed is a relative term.  What are your pain-points with the Bing Map background that you consider slow?

  • In this case it is so slow that is completely unusable as it locks all operations. It is on latest Map Enterprise.

It seems it becomes unusable if new map model is created and data is imported. I tried to import this GDB and attach Bing - https://data.gov.lv/dati/dataset/31fc32f0-daf4-4c92-8a4d-269746183cc3/resource/89ac8190-6473-4abd-b5ea-3f8a434ac802/download/lvc_centerlines.gdb.zip

  • Thank you for the GDB file, I have downloaded the file and made a couple of videos showing my work with it.

Processing times are as-expected on my pc.  Perhaps if we know more about your setup and steps that produce these lock-ups we could advise further?  What is your Coordinate System?  Do you have additional Features in the Map Model?  What commands produce the slow performance and eventual lock-up?

If you would like to pursue more detailed analysis of your operating environment we can open a Service Request to troubleshoot the problem.

  • It happens on close zoom and zooming more view starts to stutter. Also trying to place elements cursor is crawling slowly in view. Powerdraft U13 CONNECT on the same macine works ok with Bing.

I will create ST and video as it could be machine specific.

    OS:Win10 (English) latest build

    GPU: GTX 650Ti

  • It seems there is no need to import anything just add coordinate system(EPSG3059 or ETRS89.Baltic) and Map model(create in current model) then it becomes slow.
