Does anyone have know how you can export from dgn sheet space to DWG model space.
Currently using: File > Export > Common File Types > DWG, but when I export fence from dgn sheet model to dwg in Opencities Map Powerview, it exports it to dwg paper space and leaves model space empty.
I think that in v8i Map Powerview it worked so that when I export fence from dgn sheet model to dwg it would make the dwg in model space.
This is crucial because all structural engineers, architects etc. use AutoCAD based products here and they need to attach our designs as reference (xref) to their design files. In AutoCAD you can't take sheet model as reference, it always forces you to have model space as reference and model space is empty with dgn => dwg export.
I need to do these dwg exports almost every day so would be nice if there was an easy solution for this.

Hello, The export to DWG functionality in Map comes from MicroStation and appears to be working as designed. When you set the Filter to Fence in the Options box, it merges the contents of the Design Model into the resulting DWG Paper Space. This leaves the DWG model space empty. If you set the Filter to Everything, the DGN design model elements are pushed to the DWG model space.
It appears that this is related to a new export setting introduced in SS4 called "Merge Viewport Attachments". You can find that on the References tab of the Save As DWG/DXF Options dialog. There is information regarding that setting here: Save As DWG/DXF Options Dialog. Also note that reference merge options are ignored when Fence or Selection Set filtering is enabled:
