How to draw rectangular part of the building as a terrace or other in an easiest way.

I am updating a city map try ortofotogrammetry right now. Need to update buildings a lot. So I know how to draw a new rectangular object or move one side of the building to some distance, but usually terraces and others starts from the midle of the building.
