Where can I find Element Information (as in Bentley Map) in Open Cities?

I am still getting used to the new Connect OpenCities Map Enterprise, just after starting to figure out Bentley Map Enterprise V8i and I am unable to find the element information button in OpenCities. When I type in element information, or just information in the search window it doesn't come up. Can anyone tell me where this can be found?

Thanks!

  • Hi Brandy,

"Element Information" in V8i has been renamed "Properties" in Connect. You may find the icon in the ribbon under Map > Home > Primary > Properties. Also available on right click menu. Of course, if you type-in "Properties" in Search Ribbon (F4), you will found out right away.

As additional information, from MicroStation help, here the following enhancements are made to properties:

    Properties Dialog Deeper Integration
The Properties dialog now shows properties of any selection and is integrated with unified selection. The selection tree is improved to show more details. It now shows associated elements, named groups, items and other data of the element as child nodes. It is also integrated with tables (shows rows, columns, cells, etc.), parametric elements (you can expand and edit constraints and features), and so on.

    Details Dialog
The Details dialog is now updated to show the details of any selected element or object. It is similar to Properties dialog, only that it shows properties in a grid.

Please retrieved more details in MicroStation Connect Edition Online help for more details about this tool.
    I hope that helps.
