Hi, I am finding that the way lines are capped has changed. I used to to use flat line capping for bridges in the CadScript symbology but since we moved to Map Finishing it does not seem to do that any more only gives square caps. Has anybody else found this and is there an answer ? I tried using the Line caps tool in microstation to individually assign caps to lines. Not the ideal way to go !! As you can see the Flat and the Square (or Normal) come out the same. The middle picture shows how the end vertex is drawn and I want the line to end there but it causes problems when the line is above a curve. Any help or a work around would welcome.
Hello Sir
Sorry for the delay in our reply. After applying the capping, did you try to generate the output and check that? If not, then please do try that . Apply the capping to the desired elements and then generate the output in PS, EPS or PDF and then check. Applied capping is seen in the output and not in the dgn file.
Thank You
Mayur
Hi, The graphic on the left in the original post IS the ps output. It has worked perfectly well for years and then when it became Map Finisher it didn't. What changed ? This has impacted very negatively on our work and now looks decidedly unprofessional !! Left below is before Right is after. All due to capping change.
