today I realized on Software download page that Map products seem to be again renamed:
But I am confused, because I did not find any announcement or public information, and on www.bentley.com, old names are still used.
Really, ss product marketing team so bored staying at home office, so to rename the product again sounds like great idea? My experience is that the most of customers still do not understand and accept renaming from Bentley Map to OpenCities and are confused they do not see the product in product lists.

We apologize for the confusion. The products are undergoing a name-change.Renaming cycle should be complete by December.

What I see as quite big problem is that you ignore users completely: It's not important when exactly the process will be finished, but that you do not bother to explain it and inform users.
There is no announcement in this forum, which is the first place where users probably assume the new information will be published. The last announcement I see is about Bentley Map CE Update 1, 2 years old. No information about Bentley Map > OpenCities Map rebranding, and as far as I remember, no customer I spoke with, received such information e.g. by e-mail. Some from them asked me whether Bentley Map was canceled and they should migrate to e.g. QGIS or ESRI.
And now, the situation repeats again.
Sorry, but it just confirm mine feeling (that I expressed in my older post) the geo products directions and vision are not clear and it's not too much trustworthy as stable universal GIS platform.

Hi Jan. The new names were not supposed to be official and made public until the next release. Something did not happen as planned, we're sorry about that. Also, you can find information about the various updates in the Bentley Map / OpenCities Map wiki.
Hello Martin, does this renaming of Opencities Map to Opencities Map Advanced mean that the Advanced Map Finishing tools have been added to the this new version? I note that in the product details in the Bentley Software Downloads it says the following "OpenCities Map Advanced also supports advanced map finishing and parcel management workflows"
Hi Matthew. Thanks for pointing this out. No, the Advanced Map Finishing tools have not been added. That is an unfortunate oversight, the text comes from the V8i generation. We will get it corrected.
