I am using a cell made with concrete symbol and cyan color to pattern an area. When I use to to pattern area of a polygon with this cell ends up with color white instead of cell defined color of cyan.
Dropping the cell works with cyan color but I needed it should not be dropped but grouped. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
To display color from cell, you must create a graphic cell. See help to learn more about Cell Type.If issue still persisting, please attach the cell library and explain how you applied the patterning to your area (Map Manager, from Schema, etc.).I hope that helps.Sebastien
Thanks for your response Sebastein.
I did create the cell as graphic. I am using pattern area -> element -> select polygon to create pattern area.
My cell library is attached .
ok. It works to me. I see cyan color for the cell pattern.Do you still have the same result if you defined the cell color by index number or by true color? The next steps will be to attach .DGN to this post with the element you want to pattern. Also, tell me what is the version number of OpenCities Map Ultimate you are using. I tried to understand why you are not seeing color. Thank you.
Thank you Sebastein for your response. I defined the cell by true color. I am using OpenCitiesMap Ultimate Connect Edition Update 7 Version 10.0700.62. please see attached dgn file. Is there a setting that preventing to see cell defined color?Pattern_test.dgn

No. I do not know any setting preventing from that. This is why I do not get why we are not seeing cell defined color. I finally found the culprit. This is the Design file. Something wrong with the DGN file in is core definition. It seems corrupted. I do not know how this happening.
Go to Base model. Place a fence anywhere in the view. Use Save Fence File tool to copy to new output file. Click in the view to Accept. In this new file, containing all Design File Settings already defined in your Base model, you will be able to see color of the cell patterning.
I hope this workaround will be enough to your project.
