the idea is about i have my own class that implemented a interface you specified just like winform. and then XFM use that form for my feature instead of the default form ?

Re: Does XFM support user defined Dialog

The GSA form that is presented is a basic blank slate that you can edit and modify as you see the need. The interface to do this is not the best, but the premise is that you are defining the form in XML tags, and the interface is not intended to replace a form builder you would see in Visual Studio, etc. as you have eluded to in your response. I would suspect that if you are doing highly specialized feature manipulations, that you will be wanting to generate your own interface along with the behind the scenes business logic, rather than usign the standrad placement/forms that is provided with the GSA. The COM interface that is available via Microstation VBA ( which the standard XFM placement library is based upon), is also availabe in C#. You will need to reference the assemblies delivered with Bentley Map to make use this functionality.

Hi ytkam,

the simple answer is "Yes, XFM technology supports custom dialogs." More precise answer depends bit on a functionality you expect and require, but Geospatial Administrator provides tools you can use for a creation of own dialogs (under Operations definition). I recommend to check the delivered example (Geo_example XFM).

There are some limitations what GSA offers, so may be own code is really the only solution for you, but may be it will be enough for you.
