Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to change grid color in Open Cities Map Power View? I am working with Lidar and I use GRID for vectorization. Grid is gray as the pointcloud. I would like to have some other color or thicker lines.
Kind regards
Katarzyna
Hi,
I do not know any settings to change color and weight for the grid. You can set different color for the PointCloud or view background. By example, grid will be seen black on white background. By setting PointCloud to clear color (yellow), you will see the black grid. Other suggestion is, if you are using grid for vectorization, you should use grid lock. By disabling snap on point cloud, you will be able to stick vector to the grid without any snapping conflict.
They are not great workaround. I hope it will be enough for your needs. For more details about grid, please see help links below.
I hope that helps.Sebastien

As Sebastien says changing the Point Cloud color would be the simplest way to contrast the two.
If your office has a license of OpenCities Map Advanced or the Map Ultimate CONNECT Edition you could define a matching Grid using the Grids and Graticules tools. Grid Lines, Tick Marks, and Cross Ticks can all be assigned unique colors to contrast with the Point Cloud. The Map Ultimate CONNECT Edition includes the complete Descartes product, which has additional Point Cloud processing tools.
Thank you for your answer. I have to keep the point cloud in grayscale to detect objects so changing the colour of the point cloud is not a good solution for me.
