I've lived with it for sometime...
Is there anyway to change the browser in the "Analyze Results" window to Chrome? Chrome is set as the default browser.
Just a pain point on opening links and it using Internet Explorer .... not everything likes it anymore.
Hello Adam,
Check the setting using the Properties | Type field in the Analyze Result window.
I have Edge set as my Default Browser, and when I use Analyze Result it opens a dialog/window in Edge. When I change my Default Browser to Chrome, and run a new Analyze Result, the Type is now set to Chrome.
You can ignore the icon in the Properties, as it does not represent the Type accurately. We'll see if we can change that at some point.
Thanks Dan,
Just confirming any links I click within the window default to IE Explorer from the early 1900's
Is this not the same result you see?
Default Web browser is chrome, default html, htm is chrome.
Properties within Analyze window reports Chrome HTML Document.
Clicking the links, spawns the early 1900's IE Explorer .... it just won't leave...
Yes, we are looking at the hyperlink aspect of this, as the IE Browser is no longer supported/deprecated by Microsoft in the Windows OS.
Again just to clarifying "we are looking at the hyperlink" as I've had some internal IT issues in the past that this is expected current behaviour (hyperlinks opening in IE) and not some kind of system/bentley configuration I need to change? I tried all sorts of ChromeHTML://google.com.au style links to brute force ....
@Adam, the development staff has identified the code responsible for your issue, and has made the fix. There are two additional places in the product that use IE, one of these has also been rewritten and they are working on the third. The corrected functionality will be available in one of the upcoming Map CONNECT Edition Update 10.17 releases (July or September). We'll keep you posted.
