Hello, those anyone knows in PowerMap what is the equivalent of paste to original coordinates from AutoCad.I am trying to to copy an element (shape) from one dgn to another. I know that it works by using a fence and then attach the fence as a reference and use the option coincident (in v8i), however this is not fast enough as i have thousand of this kind of operation.
Thanks in advaced.
Hi Narcis,
if there is a requirement to do the same operation hundreds or thousands of times, you should think about some level of automation. There are more tools available in PowerMap that can help you (typically VBA for simple problems), but your question is too general to offer the best solution. Are you talking about one shape that should be copied to many other files or some elements from some source files should be copied to more files or something else?
Regards,
Jan

Not to stifle any furtherance or reply, but as copy/paste/reference operations are mostly 'foundation' functionality (i.e. the functionality is likely not specific to PowerMap), you might also try posting something in the MicroStation forum. The MicroStation forum also includes PowerDraft.
