better late, than never! After using GeoGraphics for some years, I just started to try out something in Bentley Map (v8.9.4.173; +MicroStation v8.9.4.88). Fighting with my old topology-problem I need a hint, how to handle the result of an overlay (difference/ subtract between shapes/complex shapes). As I understand, overlays are meanwhile only stored in a MAP-Model as a (temp.) map-layer. But this layer is only to see within this Map-model!
How can I get this / (copy or so?) it out of this into a different Model or File?

The ability to export these results are not available in the currnet and earlier versions of Bentley Map. This functionality is being added and will be available later this year. In waiting, you could, if you are a select customer and other restrictions, sign up for the early adopters program and get a sneak preview of the upcoming release.
