better late, than never! After using GeoGraphics for some years, I just started to try out something in Bentley Map (v8.9.4.173; +MicroStation v8.9.4.88). Fighting with my old topology-problem I need a hint, how to handle the result of an overlay (difference/ subtract between shapes/complex shapes). As I understand, overlays are meanwhile only stored in a MAP-Model as a (temp.) map-layer. But this layer is only to see within this Map-model!
How can I get this / (copy or so?) it out of this into a different Model or File?
Thx and regards, Ralph
Beta testing sound's interesting, a company-select account should be somehow available, but in the end I'll find not enough time for it! Initially I tried to sort out "my old topology-problem" from GeoGraphics - there my results of difference-operations between shapes where always insufficient and additional dependent from the used fence! Unfortunately, Bentley Map also failed to process the same of my example-data! Ok, here the result's are always the same (but different wrong to! :-( ) - yes, the process start-conditions are also always the same (there isn't a fence involved anymore)
I was just about to "document" this, collect und describe some data for later inquiry - by usergroup, Bentley support or how ever....? Is it my data or is it malfunction of Bentley Map?
Would be pleased, to had caught your interest on this issue. As ever, I'll be back in this or a new thread. If you are interested, give me a sign. But it will need a bit of time - the next 10 days I am not at work and have no access to this example.
thx ralph
