paulov: I believe that the variable to modify was a variable named DGNLIBLIST That pointed to a series of seed files.
With MicroStation V8, Bentley Systems extended the concept of reference DGN files to cover DGN standards. DGN standards are contained in a DGNLIB, which is a DGN file with another extension (*.dgnlib). Initially, DGNLIBs were used to store a level table that could be used by multiple DGN editors, just as a reference DGN can be attached by multiple users. Subsequently their use has expanded. DGNLIBLIST is a configuration variable used to specify a list of DGNLIBs to be used by a given project.
DGNLIBs are not seed files. MicroStation's seed file concept remains unchanged in V8. Seed files are configured through a separate set of variables, such as MS_SEEDFILES.

Hello,
I believe Jerry is right.
We had the same problem during the testing of the app.
Automatically levels appeared and we could not delete them!.
I believe that the variable to modify was a variable named.
DGNLIBLIST
That pointed to a series of seed files.
Deleting the routes should solve the problem.
Bye!
The PrintPreparation dgnlib is used by the PrintPreparation tool that comes with Microstation ( and is extended, somewhat by Bentley Map). This uses a seriues of DGNLIBs to store the definitions of print sheet models, north arrows, scales, text styles, levels, and sheet border cells for generating print sets.

I renamed the PrintPreparation.dgnlib and when I restarted MSBM V8i and MS V8i the additional levels no longer show.
What is this PrintPreparation.dgnlib for? Why is it activated? What configuration actually sets this up in MicroStation?
Thanks,
Nick.
The additional levels seem to be coming from a PrintPreparation.dgnlib file.
