Hi, I would like to use Version Enabled Optimistic Editing using Bentley MAP V8i with Oracle 11g.
Please let me know, If I am not going to use Geospatial Server, what are the products I have to install along with Bentley Map V8i and Oracle 11g to version enabled multi user editing and conflict resolution etc.

You must have access to a valid ProjectWise Oracle Connector client license to use that functionality from within Bentley Map.

Along with Project wise Connector client for Oracle, do we need Oracle Workspace Manager to be instaaled or not?
If yes, What version of Oracle Workspace Manager will support for Oracle 11g ?

Yes, Oracle Workspace Manager is required and we have tested Bentley Map for use with OWM up to version 11.2.0.0.2 which is available with Oracle 11gR2 beta, but should also work with OWM delivered with Oracle 11g R1 as well.

Do we have any material or document saying that how Bentley will communicate with OWM and other documents related to User Workspace Management (i.e. posting the data to user version and querying the data from user version as well as from LIVE database).

No. You do not need PW or the connector to create Oracle Spatial versions and use reconnicilation. You need the license to create optimistic versions of the Oracle Spatial data, but you do not need the Connector Software.

From reading thru the thread, I believe you are correct. I assume you are using the Oracle Spatial connection thru Map, by going to the File->Open Oracle Spatail feature and that you have the Oracle Spatial connection setup, registered features, etc. via the GSA.

In order to use Bentley Map with OWM including long transactions (e.g. versions), optimistic transactions and reconcilliation, you must have access to a Bentley ProjectWise Connector for Oracle Spatial client license. Please refer to the Using Oracle Spatial Versions in Bentley Map documentation for additional information.
I got reconcile mechanism through version refresh.
Merge to parent is not posting data to LIVE database.
The below is the procedure i followed.
1. Open bentley map and create version and Queried the GIS features from LIVE through Interoperability UI.
2. Placed a feature through command manager and posted to the user version (not to LIVE). message center is showing Post complete (1 feature).
3. Now, can i again post the feature to LIVE by selecting Merge To Parent through spatial tool's 'Post' option.
4. or do i need to post the feature by selcting the Version and right clicking and select Merge To Parent?
Please guide me how to post the data to LIVE, which are queried from a user version, with out editing.
