I am working at getting our GeoGraphics project converted into Bentley Map.
In GeoGraphics we have multiple features sharing one level and I am trying to redefine these to have a separate level for each feature. I have revised the level list in level manager; I have redefined the features to reflect the new level names both in the feature name and the asigned level.
But, when I then go to update the feature the program assigns the object to an unused level (by example 'Level 23") instead of the one specified in the project feature set up ("Main_06-inch"). The "Level 23" matches the number in the feature table under FLEVEL.
What might I be doing wrong? Is there something else in the program set-up that I need to change or reset? Do I need to go into the feature table and reset the FLEVEL value to the number manually asigned under level properties in the level manager?
Brian;
Are you converting the GG project over to a Bentley Map project also using the GSA ? If this is the case are you setting the level in the feature symbology node in the GSA ?
Thanks !
Jerry
Brian:GSA? what does that mean?
They hold us in thrall, we who know nothing of three-letter acronyms (TLAs).
GeoGraphics lacks a GSA — just an assortment of administrative tools. If you happen to choose the right combination of tools, and get the settings right, then you can get GeoGraphics to work.
Bentley Map is more coordinated — the GeoSpatial Administration tool (Oops! Now I've given away the meaning behind the TLA) helps to configure the schema that defines your project.
