I have downloaded and install both PowerMap and Bentley Map release candidates and I am trying to connect to my Oracle 11g server.
Whenever I try to connect through the 'Open Oracle Spatial' or 'Import->GIS Data Types', and add a new Oracle connection, I fill in my connection details, click 'OK' and the applications freeze (for both PowerMap and Bentley Map).
Anyone else had this problem? How do I work around it?
NOTE: The new GSA will open and register the Oracle tables perfectly.

I have just tried again, but given it heaps of time (around 30 minutes) and it has return my layers.
How can I make this work better??
Hi Ian. Is it possible that you are using an Oracle user which has DBA rights ? That would force Map to list all the available tables and would be quite slow.

Thanks Martin, I will create a different user and try that. I also think my system needs to be rebuilt (other things have started to go really slow).
