We were just trying to label a polygon with some attribute data (eg. Legal Description of a Lot Boundary) and got an unexpected result.
If you label an irregular polygon, say a U-shaped poIygon, I would have expected the result to always fall within the polygon. I realise the technical definition of a centroid may result in a point outside a polygon but I was sure there was another definition (is it Centre of Mass or something??) that forced an internal placement which I would think should be the default or at least an option.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
