Is there an easy way to populate the Where Clause field in the Interoperability window from the SQL statement built using the Search Tool?
The only way I've found to do this is manually key in the Where Clause after I get the proper search result.

Not that I know of. You could save the seach clause, and then open the ecquery xml file to try to extract this information.
