Hi,
is it possible to configure XFM feature such way, that 2 different annotations (texts that display different properties) will be placed as a part of placement workflow?
It seems that Standard Operations Library is designed to work with only one Edit and Annotation method, so even there are 2 point-text subfeatures, only one can be placed as annotation. Have I missed anything or the only solution is to extend delivered VBA StdOps library to call 2 annotation placemenent operation?
With regards,
Jan
Hi Jan,
You would need to extend the delivered library to place 2 different annotations.
Do you need 2 separate annotation elements? I just want to be sure that you are aware that a single annotation can contain multiple text lines so you could display each property on a separate line.
Regards,
Chris
Hi Chris,
Yes, I need 2 separate annotation elements. I merge more attributes into multi-line annotation already, so the current annotation is quite complex. The reason why I am thinking about to split it to 2 separate annotations is to simplify reading and to have grouped inly the information that are logically related.
Thanks for your confirmation it has to be done with the customized code, I will play with VBA StdOps library during summer days :-)

Hello,
is there any solution to that issue? We also have different annotation subfeatures and can only place one of the two annotations.

HI Maik,
this discussion is 10 years old, so it's recommended to ask in new post, reflecting used (and for newer) OpenCities Map version.

Chris answered the question already: It's necessary to extend standard placement library and to implement (using e.g. VBA or MDL) custom placement workflow, that will be based on your XFM project structure.
