you are editing teh same XML file that you are editing in the GSA. Using any standard text editor or XML editor will work.

What XML file am i going to edit? and what editor do I use to edit the XML? Can I use notepad ? or any editor you can advice.

In the XML file there is a database tag.

Example for a ODBC connection :

And for a Oracle connection :

Change the name there. Make sure you backup the original before making these edit changes.

Also make sure you do a update on the Database node, in the GSA, just to make sure you have made the change correctly.
