I am trying to create 3D features (XFM features) in Bentley Map Enterprise. I am creating a building foot print using the standard polygon placement taht are part of my GSA project, and the trying to extrude this to give it the height. But when I do this it drops the XFM data. When I try to analyze the 3D shape the cursor message says "Must Select Feature".
So what am I doing wrong, I would like to build a simple 3D building (or area within a building) and have XFM attributes associated with it?
Later I want to then store this in Oracle, but that can wait for now.

I just used Jeff's Extrude command for the first time and it works like a charm. You should try it on your building footprints. See: Extrude 2D building polygons to 3D
