As a Bentley Map SS1 customer, when SS2 was released, I downloaded and installed it, wiping out the SS1 install. Upon using the app the first time, I see that SS2 comes with a 30 "trial" period (what ??). Further investigation lead me to discover that SS2 is a different product than SS1, with a different product number (and a different price!). So, now my 30 days are up and SS2 no longer works. How do I remove the product? In "Add/Remove" programs there is no "remove" button. I also don't see any "unistall" option. I know I can simply delete the folder, but that doesn't clean up the Windows Registry. How does one remove SS2 after installation?

Hi. There should definitely be an entry in your Add/Remove programs for Bentley Map. If there is no "uninstall" or "remove" option then maybe you at least have "modify" ? If so, there should be an option to remove hte product from there.
Hope this helps,
Martin
Was Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 2) installed as a component of one of the Civil apps, like InRoads or GEOPAK? That may be why it does not include a Remove button. Those instances typically don't add the application in the list.
You can use the Setup.exe dialogs to Remove the application - it has the Change | Repair | Remove buttons. Look for it in the ..\BentleyDownloads\bm081107434en\install folder.
Bentley Map was not installed as part of the Civil apps. Your recommendation to use the setup.exe allowed me to remove the SS2 version.
Thanks !!
