I was aksed to do some survey and utilites work based on the
US SDSFIE CADD/GIS Data Standards/Structure.
Is there a Bentley map workspace for download available or must I use Esri Products and the
installations from the site sdsfie.org
If you are using SDSFIE 3.0 there is a Bentley Map datamodel that you can retrieve from the SDSFIE website.
When on the SDSFIE Website, just log-in, go to "The Tools" , select SDSFIE Generation, pick the adoption you want to utilize (be sure and turn on 'Show Service Adaptations'), and then select the Bentley button to Generate the Bentley Map XML. A Text link will appear that has says "Bentley Map XML Script " Click link to download.
This schema can be opened with the Geospatial Administrator of Bentley Map.
If you have any problems setting anything up, or the adoption you need is not available, let me know. I have a request in to the SDSFIE team to post a full version of the SDSFIE schema in Bentley map format on the following page and am awaiting confirmation on it's being posted (www.sdsfie.org/.../Default.aspx)

For now I have a login for the www.sdsfie.org website but in my phase of preparing my offer and proposal for the client it seems i have no access to the "The Tools"/SDSFIE Generation" area of this webpage.
It seems some offlical dod mebmer or US Army member have to invite me for this area, right?
