Bentley Map Series2 using Excel spreasheet

Generally speaking, yes this should be doable. However much depends on the data you have in both your design file as well as in your spreadsheet.

In Bentley Map you have the ability to define joins to external data sources, including what could be an ODBC connection to the Excel spreadsheet. If you are able to define a join using a common key between the XFM feature instances in your design file and some value in your spreadsheet, then Map Manager should be able to consume those external business properties for use in thematic resymbolization.
