I had FME 2011, In Enterprise the File>Import>FME dialog / functionality worked fine. I upgraded to FME 2012 and that option was then grayed out, went back to 2011 and it works again. So I'm guessing the answer is 2011. Are there plans to work with 2012?
The usual recommendation is that FME is installed before you install Bentley Map. After upgrading to the latest FME, if you repair the Bentley Map install, does this fix the problem ?
Hi. The installation order could be relevant to a Bentley Map V8i SELECTSeries 1 installation but sa far as I remember in SELECTSeries 2 we always install the FME support with Map. Can you tell us which version of Map you are running ?
Thanks,
Martin
Hum, obviously, I had not read the title properly. You can forget my question, sorry.
James,
With the recent release of FME Desktop 2012 SP1, we have performed testing of Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 2) 08.11.07 as well as the upcoming (SELECTseries 3) 08.11.09 release. The Windows 32-bit versions of FME Desktop 2010 SP4, 2011 and 2012 SP1 releases should all be supported. We have however seen an issue where depending on the O/S (XP, Windows 7, x86, x64 etc...) and whether or not FME Desktop was installed with an account that did or did not have administrative privileges would affect the location of the registry keys that Bentley Map reads to enable the Import/Export menus.
I will contact you directly so we can work out this issue for your particular installation.

Jeff Bielefeld [Bentley]
FME 2011, then Map Enterpise SS2, then FME 12.
And Jeff I responded to your email.
