Bentley Map is not MicroStation

You seem to be confused. You are reading a thread in the Bentley Map forum. Bentley Map is a GIS tool. However, you are using Microstation V08 version, not Bentley Map. MicroStation is a 3D drafting tool, not a GIS tool.

Clearly, not all features available in Bentley Map are available in other products. Those other products include MicroStation. So, no, Bentley Map interoperability options are not available in MicroStation.

Since you are not using Bentley Map there is little point in asking questions in this Forum. Instead, post questions about MicroStation V8.01 to the most appropriate Forum.

Is the interoperability options applicable to my version?. I have big table (in .xls format) of points to plot, and I need an automated way, can u help me?

Hi, I am trying to import some ODBC access data that is in Britsh National Grid coordinate system but I can't seem to get the syntax correct in the vrt file. Does anyone know what the correct syntax is?

<LayerSRS>OSGB</LayerSRS> does not work

<LayerSRS>OSGB1936</LayerSRS> does not work

<LayerSRS>OSGB:1936</LayerSRS> does not work

It is also possible to bring in lines or polygons as well. Attached is an example of both. Just follow the instructions from Keith, and inside of the zip file attached to this message there is an example for polygon and another for lines.
