I was wondering if someone can test a quick import/export worfklow for me. I have lots of 3D buildings that come in the form of a KML file. So, each building has its own KML file & DAE file (Building_1.kml, Building_1.dae).
I think you will have to use standalone FME Desktop product to merge several collada (*.dae) files into a single collada file.

In FME Desktop there are separate readers for Collada and KML.

If I am correct, the KML is only a pointer to the Collada file and will not make sense merging them.

I have done the merging of dae files using FME Desktop and have posted it here for your review.

You should use FME Extension provided with Bentley Map.

According to help file, the role of FME in Bentley Map Bentley Map has tools to import and export several different formats of geospatial data. However, our users may have a requirement to access other formats, not directly supported by Bentley Map. The interface to FME is designed make available many more geospatial formats to improve our users workflows. (...)
