According to the Help in Bentley Map SS3 it should still be possible på place a non-planar point curve, but the "Place Curve" tool do not have a planar 7 Non-planar choose list anymore.

Hopefully this is non intended small error that will we corrected at the first upcomming service release. If not it is a serious crippling of the software for all of us working with real world surveys and mapping.
