I want to create a thematically symbolized map in Enterprise Map. I've figured out how to do this part, but I want to save it in a form that allows non map users to see the thematic symbolization.
When I tried using i-publish which seems to be the appropriate tool, the resulting file only displays the model in the map model space and not the thematic symoblization.
Hopefully I just don't get how to do it.
Any help will get me started to at least try and ask smart questions.

Yes! The explanations made by Jeff here are in Bentley Map.
I do not see the Export to Microstation in Bentley Map. I am using Bentley Map that loads with Geopak. Does it have to be Enterprise map?

As Jan points to, this option was introduced in Bentley Map V8i SS3. The version of Bentley Map shipped with Bentley Civil V8i SS2 products including Geopak is Bentley Map V8i SS2, so the Export to Microstation option is not available in that version sadly. I believe Bentley Geopak V8i SS3 is due out in the near future.

so what can ss2 users do what formats they export to?
I dont have map ss2 installed yet still waiting on IT dept and license but that is the version we'll get so what do we ss2 users have to do?

Hi Lorys,
you can use Copy Fence Contents to File tool, it should work.
The difference is it doesn't "clean" elements from XFM information during the export, so you will receive not plain DGN, but in many scenarios it doesn't generate any problem.
