The documentation on Bentley Microstation Map v8i is obviously unclear. The given GUI asks for the schema, but if we intend to export our DGN to the CityGML, we cant as it gives an error message in the GML file generated!
Could someone clarify this, please?
I suspect you are exporting to the GML data type, which CityGML is a subset of this data type. For All GML data imports/exports we expect a data schema stylesheet to accompy the data set. From teh help file :
"GML format supports Version 2.1 and 3.1 of GML. At least two files are required. The data file, typically named .GML or .XML and the schema file, typically named .XSD."
In the GUI to do the export, you are ahve the option to set the XSD file, or if not, the export automatically creates one for you.
Upon importing, you need to select both the xml file AND the xsd files.
You've posted the same question twice.
There is no product 'Bentley Microstation Map'. Presumably you mean Bentley Map. What 8-digit version of the product are you using?
In your duplicate post you mention that you read the document about CityGML found at
