Thank you, I'll try that asap. I remeber the data type was the same (character), but the field length was different. Maybe that causes problems.

Sorry I meant the data types for the column are exactly the same ( not the geometry).

Make sure the feature names are exactly the same AND the geometry types are exactly the same. There is a pulldown when you do the mapping for the input shapefile, that you should only have to pick the feature from the list. You need to click in the field to get the pulldown list.

I tried exactly the same but I did not get the desired result. I mapped the Shape attribute to a database table column by entering the name of that column in the import process, but that created a XML property named like the column name and filled it.
I wanted to fill the database table but that did not work. My database connection is working properly. What is wrong?

In Map you need to :

- Create the database table.

- Define the features in the GSA.

- When importing the shapefile, you then data map the feature to the shapefile and the attributes in the shapefile to the attributes in the feature, then the data will be linked to the database as in the past.
