Guys.
We made some conversion of GIS data in PowerGeopak SS2, we mapped all the corresponding levels to our standards levels and attaching all of the basemap and save the design file. When we open the file we end up not getting the right symbology. And also notice that once the Bentley Map is activated all the reference basemap files will be in RED, even it was there before it activated. Please help.

HiJunil,
I know it is obvious but when a layer "became red" in Map Manager, it is often because the element type or format was not supported. As far as I know, you can only work with XFM supported features through Bentley Map tools implemented into Civil application as PowerGEOPAK.
Maybe you should research for solution, and maybe post your question, under Road and Site Design section; dependant section of PowerGEOPAK. Road and Site Designhttp://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/default.aspx
I hope that helps,
There could be several things going on here. One may be the way the symbology was set up in the GSA, another may be the redefinition of the configuration variables in the Use Workspace of the GSA ( ie the ms_rfdir configuration variable has been redefined). From my past experience with the Geopak implementation of activating Map, they load the msgeo user workspace and apply the values configured in that user workspace. Unless you have changed the msgeo user workspace, and or have it launching a different user workspace, then this should not be a issue. If there is still some problems, then we would need to review the XFM schema file ( the XML file read by the GSA), to see what is going on. Also a sample dgn file would be useful.
