Hello,
I am working on a project where we will be deploying Powerview to multiple field tablet devices. I want to have Powerview looking the same for everyone in terms of available toolbars, view configurations, preferences, ect... When I transfer workspaces onto different devices the look and feel of Powerview defaults back to the user logged into the device. Is this something that need to be defined in the project schema for Geospatial Administrator, or is their a configuration file on the Powerdraft side that I am missing?
Thanks,
John
Greetings John,
Were the user interface customizations made using the Bentley Geospatial Administrator or the Customize functionality in Bentley Map PowerView? If not sure if you could include some screen images depicting the changes you are not seeing propagated to each tablet we should be able to assist.

Jeff Bielefeld [Bentley]
Hi Jeff,
All the customization in terms of look and feel was done on the Powerview side on my laptop. When I transferred workspaces over to my tablet toolbars were missing or in the wrong spot, views different, background color different, etc... I am unsure on how to customize the Powerview workspace using GSA since there is little documentation on how to do so with the supplied GSA Help Documentation. I have attached a pdf with two screenshots the first is of my laptop, the second is of my tablet.
Regards
Hello John,
Not sure to clearly understand how you have transferred your workspace from your laptop to your device ?
As Jerry pointed out, typically, this kind of settings\preferences (toolbars were missing or in the wrong spot, views different, etc...) are stored into the preferences file (file.upf). You can easily find its location going to the Workspace menu \ About Workspace. When you do a Save Settings, it goes write into this file.upf. Noticed that I removed the background color of the previous list since this information is stored within the design file. And you have some preferences that you can set into the View options from the preferences dialog. Again, this preferences dialog is kind of a picture of your file.upf.
Let us know what you think about that and look forward to your reply and perhaps a little more information.
