&lt;p&gt;The &amp;#39;best&amp;#39; way to apply symbology to GIS data using Bentley Map is to start with a geospatial schema defined with the Geospatial Administrator (GSA).&amp;nbsp; This provides Property-based symbology for each feature and sub-feature listed in the schema.&amp;nbsp; When you import a Shapefile the incoming feature can be &amp;#39;mapped&amp;#39; to a feature name from the schema and be symbolized based on pre-defined&amp;nbsp;styles and properties.&amp;nbsp; The import settings can be saved and reused by defining an import settings file (.impx)&amp;nbsp;during the import process.&amp;nbsp; The Help file illustrates these commands under the Bentley Geospatial Administrator and Interoperability headings.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
