GWP - publishing in WFS mode

Hi,

I' m try to use GWP to publish in WFS mode. I know the WFS specification but i can't understand how the WFS works on GWP.

I'm looking for an example of WFS request or some documentation about.

Thanks

 Massimiliano

  • Hi,

All WFS services can be accessed via the FeatureHandler virtual directory.

Here is an example of GetCapabilities request:

    GetCapabilities:
    http://localhost/featureHandler/731cb869-0ff9-4118-943d-da4413509628.wfs?request=GetCapabilities&service=WFS&version=1.1.0

  • Thank you!!

The get Capabilities request is ok.

Now i'm trying the DescibeFeatureType and the GetFeature request:

    http://localhost/featureHandler/996e56cc-7bb7-4df3-a9e6-1e7fecbb50db.wfs?SERVICE=WFS&VERSION=1.1.0 &REQUEST=DescribeFeatureType&TYPENAME=gwp:Comuni

    http://localhost/featureHandler/996e56cc-7bb7-4df3-a9e6-1e7fecbb50db.wfs?request=GetFeature&version=1.1.0&service=WFS&typename=gwp:Comuni

For the 'describe' i recive: Unable to describe feature type 'Comuni'.

For the 'GetFeature ' i recive:Unable to get feature 'Comuni'

Here is my GWP Administrator sreenshots:

Thank you in advance for your precious help

  • Massimiliano,

Please make sure that the conversion of your "Comuni" graphical source is completed.  This error can appears when the iDPR file is not yet generated.

Also look at the "WFSHttpHandlerLog.log" file located under "GeoWebPublisher/Logs" folder to see if you can see more details about the error.

    Regards,

    Sylvain

... it doesn't works... any other suggesion?

A simple question: documentation says that the source must be DGN XMF, Oracle or Non Graphical Source. It's possible pubblish in WFS mode a dimple DGN? From administrator intrerface seem to be possible...

    Thanks

    Fabio

  • Fabio,

Depending on the version you are using, WFS supports DGN with mslink graphical sources (and associated non graphical source) since the V8i maintenance release 08.11.05.28.
