You need to add this ID field to the database table. Then perform the linkage via the tools in Bentley Map, as you have discovered.

There must be a primary key that is unique. Typically this is a numeric, integer.

I found in help Bentley Map, what links are created with Database Tool "Attach Active Entity". But, when i use this tool, i see it message: "The element does not satisfy the database criteria"

Element must have a specific format?
