Hi
I have an issue when I create a wms service with Geo Web Publisher from an automated iDPR file. The small text objects get filled as a cell with the textcolor and thereby I cant see the text, and it looks terrible :).
I can set the Resolution under the Advanced tab to the maximum 100 and it gets a little better as shown in the attached file, but not good enough. And via Bentley Geo Web Publisher administraion console its not possible to have higher than 100.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this, is it possible to set Resolution to higher than 100, or is there a better/other way?
In the past, when I have ran across text getting pixelated or loosing resolution, I have changed the text font, to clarify the text. Using a true type or system font seems to work better than one of the MicroStation fonts (0, 23, etc.). Since you are using the Administrator tool, in GWP, try setting up a MicroStation Pen table to replace the font during iDPR generation, that way you will not have to change the drawings itself.
This may take a bit of testing, with different fonts, since they display slightly different. I usually try the Arial font first, since it seems to display better.
I hope this helps.
The first thing to verify is the extent of your data source file (DGN?). If the text resolution is not good enough it probably means that your file has a very large extent, maybe larger than the real data to display. You can filter by extent or by level to make sure to convert the proper data and maybe eliminate unwanted elements.
If your data source file is correct, you could also test your iDPR result with a higher resolution by converting directly with the iDprCnv.exe. You can get the command line to convert by using the View Last Log button. Increase the resolution factor and create a new iDPR graphical source to compare.

If possbile I would not like to change the dgn-file so setting up a Pen -table sounds like a great idea.
The problem though is that I dont have much experience from Microstation so my knowledge to create a Pen Table is very low (zero).
Do you have a good tutorial to do this or if you can give me some pointers?
I would suggest beginning with the MicroStation Help file, e.g. :
