You can try in soil/interface/stiffness
Dear Ashraf,
Marco got me first!
With PLAXIS CONNECT Edition, you can adjust the Kn/Ks stiffness directly in the material data sets, in the Interface tab.
You need to switch the option in the Stiffness field, from Standard to Kn/Ks as seen below. The values for Kn and Ks can be provided independently in the data set.
Hello sir;
When do we add Kn and Ks what will happen to Ri and Ci and other parameters it will still be calculated from the soil or just ignored in the program?
The Kn and Ks values only affect the stiffness used for the interface. The strength is still controlled by the Rinter as shown in the screenshot.
For cases where kn not equal to ( 11 ks), no equivalent interface properties can be found for PLAXIS. In my study Kn=Ks=1280 Mpa which lead to soil collapse failure and also Eoed,i will be equal to Gi due to the Kn and Ks equations in plaxis
What should I do?
