I am a masterstudent in Construction engineering and currently working on my thesis.
I am trying to make a Plaxis 2D model for a soilmix-element with a load-bearing capacity. During the calculation I get the following comment: 'Not enough load

RE: How can I solve the following issue: 'Not enough load steps [102]' ?

Dear Sander,

You are welcome.

I wish you to find the cause as soon as possible.

RE: How can I solve the following issue: 'Not enough load steps [102]' ?

Dear Rushan,

Ok. Thank you for the advice.

RE: How can I solve the following issue: 'Not enough load steps [102]' ?

Dear Sander,

If increasing steps does not help, I would check all geometry, soil and structures parameters, phase sequence. Also I would test some variants with different mesh coarsenesses. If it is possible, we can estimate results in Output: deformed mesh, total displacements, incremental displacement, total deviatoric strain, incremental shear strains, Plastic Points, excess pore pressure.

It is very difficult to find a reason of this error without project. So, alternative and the most reliable variant is to send a Service Request via https://apps.bentley.com/srmanager/ProductSupport.

RE: How can I solve the following issue: 'Not enough load steps [102]' ?

Dear Rushan,

Thank you for your answer.

I have already tried to increase the number of steps, but unfortunately I still get the [102] error.

Could there be another reason for this?

RE: How can I solve the following issue: 'Not enough load steps [102]' ?

Dear Sander,

According to 2D Reference manual, Appendix H, hint for error 102 is: Increase the value assigned to the Max steps parameter.

We go to Phases settings window (double click on phase with red cross), deactivate Use default iter parameters checkbox and increase the value of Max steps:
