I wonder whether the column is connected to the horizontal brace at node N2 and N3 or not, If I just use the beam element with two nodes N1and N4 to simulate the column in the following picture.
Or to make sure the connections at nodes N2 and N3, I have to create three beams N1N2, N2N3, N3N4.
