Gravity loading phase always fails (Plaxis 2d Connect)

Greetings,

I need to model slope with unhorizontal soil layers.

We have recently purchased Plaxis 2d Connect and we always have the same problem. The problem is that initital phase (gravity loading) stops already after few seconds. The message is that soil body collapses (error 101) even after increase of parameters. We have checked model fixities and everything is ok.

In the output program soil collapses unlogically  in the upper right corner of the model.

We used older Plaxis versions and we never had such strange and unrealistic failures after only 3 seconds of initial phase calculation. Please help, the image of soil colapse is attached. Why is this happening? Oldeversions we had never had such issues.

  • Dear Emir,

Some times part of the geometry is slightly outside the vertical boundary, and the fixities are not properly applied.

You can check that in Structures mode, per polygon by double-clicking on it and view the Points.
In general, all points at the boundary should be at the same y-coordinate. You can use the following command to help you find if a point is outside: echo Polygon_1
please replace the Polygon_1 with the name of your polygon.

If you still have problems solving this, please submit a service request so that we can check your project directly.
